Aloha, wotcha & good evening you wonderful bunch. I’m sorry for the lateness of this little update.
In my desperation to escape work on Friday evening I left my phone’s cable of electrickery on my desk. This meant a peaceful weekend of no calls or emails for me…but on the downside it did mean I couldn’t write to you fantastic lot.
A huge welcome to our new friends Marilyn and Dave & family. It was lovely to meet you all & we hope you will join us again.
We had another fantastic evening on Wednesday. The picking practice was brilliant & sounded great and we played loads of our great songs with a view to deciding what we might take to wow the crowds at Rye. The list of favourites currently includes:
- Lady Madonna
- Rocking All Over The World
- You Never Can Tell
- Don’t Say Aloha
- Eight Days a Week
- Singing the Blues
- King Of The Road
- Wanna Be Like You
- & Delilah…
Next time we meet up we should try to narrow this incredible list down to four or five gems that we love. We need to get our choices in early in the hope of getting the songs we want.
We’ve got lots of exciting gigs coming up over the next few months – so here’s a reminder of some of these forthcoming dates…
- 21st May – Lewes May Fair
- 28th May – Sussex Ukulele Festival, Peasmarsh
- 3rd July – Rye Ukulele Festival
- 8th July – Uckfield Festival
That’s all from me for this week, you fabulous lot…
see you soon. Abi Xx
