Hello there you brilliant lot,
Thank you all for another fantastic evening on Wednesday. A big welcome to our new friends Nick, Susan & Eamonn – we hope you enjoyed yourselves & will come join us again!
We had a really lovely thank you from Susan who organised the busk in Lewes High Street for Cancer Research. Further to the total I gave you all in my last message, she has told us that during our one hour busk that we raised an unbelievable £200! That really is an incredible amount. Everyone of you that played is brilliant & we have been asked if we will help her again – of course we will.
It was great to have a good play through some of our world famous hits on Wednesday, but particularly to narrow down our hopeful list for Rye – since we met, Jason submitted our list & we have now had our list agreed by the wonderful organisers! So, in no particular order (we will decide this in time) we will be delighting the massed crowds of Uke fanatics with:
The Ballad of Barry & Freda
The Muppet Show
You Never Can Tell
…Brilliant!!!! The Muppet Show is attached to this aloha for everyone – print one off & bring it next time we meet!
A reminder that our next amazing performance is as part of the Brighton Festival Fringe on the Unity Stage in Jubilee Square. We are meeting at 2.30, for our slot at 2.45pm – we can draw up a rough set list next time we meet.
