Just a short note from me, to say a big thank you to all who came along for the marathon performance at the May Fayre, I had a great time, I hope your fingers and voices are well recovered…!
I had the following note from Steve George who was our contact point for the day. For those who haven’t seen we raise £150 for Cancer Research, a little less than I hope for the hours we put in, so we might bear that in mind for next year!
Also, please find below a link for our electronic friends an updated Other book with last weeks newbies, I Fought the Law and Brimful of Asha and also Feelin’ Groovy a new song for us to murder in our own special way. A song whose lyrics I intend to dedicate to myself to keep a better tempo….
See ya’ll Wednesday!
Email from Steve George, of the Southover Bonfire Society…
I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you so much for your enthusiasm, support, generosity and involvement with the May Fayre on Sunday.
It was a fantastic day in the sun and I’ve had nothing but great comments from those who visited. Many of you told me on the day how much you’d enjoyed it too, which was fabulous to hear.
Those of you who know Mark may have seen that he was able to join us for a couple of hours as well, and he was thrilled to see such a great turnout and everyone having a great time.
We really couldn’t do it with you, thank you
In the next couple of weeks we’ll get the date set for next year and let everyone know – we had a few people unable to make it this year who are keen for 2019 so there’s already some exciting new things we hope to bring in then. It will be the same team from SBS who put it together, bringing in all the lessons we’ve learned this year on the way!
I’ll let you know the 2019 date as soon as I have it, and hope to see you again next year. In the meantime I wish you a great summer.
Many thanks indeed
